Ms. Randera, Associate Attorney, joined the firm to initiate an immigration section, expanding the employment practice. She specializes in business, investment, entertainment and personal immigration, providing in-depth advice to SMEs, large multinational corporations and individuals on a wide range of U.S. immigrations issues. She has had notable success in obtaining visas and resolving immigration issues at consular posts worldwide. Ms. Randera is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, serving on the Media Relations and Membership Relations committees.
Before joining the firm, Ms. Randera focused on temporary residence and employment visas for professionals, extraordinary ability workers, entertainers and athletes in the H-1B, E-3, O and P visa categories. She worked on requests for evidence and waiver applications, and solved complex issues at U.S. consular posts. She also handled family-based immigration matters.
Ms. Randera was an Associate Attorney with Wolfsdorf Rosenthal in Santa Monica, where she specialized in employment-based immigration, working with employers on visa options and petitions. She advised corporations and high-profile individuals on U.S. immigration matters involving entrepreneur and investor visas, and permanent residence E-category visas for treaty traders and investors. She also handled L-1 category visas for intracompany executives, managers and employees. Ms. Randera was responsible for immigrant visa sponsorships for a wide range of employment categories, including extraordinary abilities, multinational executives and professionals. She accompanied clients to adjustment of status interviews with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
Ms. Randera began her career in U.S. immigration law at Ganguin Samartin in London, England, where she specialized in business- and family-based immigration to the U.S. She prepared clients for visa interviews and drafted applications and petitions. She also served as a Mini-Pupillage for a group of barristers in London. The role, similar to an intern in the U.S., enabled her to observe hearings at immigration tribunals, where she gained insight into the UK immigration process.
Before embarking on a law career, Ms. Randera was involved in several business ventures. Her responsibilities ranged from human resources management to directing student affairs for a college of nursing. She also worked in trade relations and property management for a textile company.
Ms. Randera received her Juris Doctor degree from Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Tampa Bay, Florida, where she received Certificates of Merit in two classes — Federal Administrative Law and Alternative Dispute Resolution. She served as President of the International Law Society, Chair of the Environmental Law Society and Secretary of the Hispanic Latino Law Society. Ms. Randera received an undergraduate degree from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, where she was a Student Teacher in the Teaching International Relations Program, and Co-President of the Muslim Student Union.
Ms. Randera speaks conversational Hindi, French and German.
