Mr. Neale, Associate Attorney, represents self-insured employers, third-party administrators and corporations in all aspects of workers’ compensation
Before joining Michael Sullivan & Associates, he was an Associate Attorney for Finnegan, Marks, Theofel & Desmond in San Francisco, where he also practiced workers’ compensation defense, appearing before WCABs throughout Northern California. As a Contract Attorney for Essential Discovery in San Francisco, he reviewed discovery evidence for responsiveness and privilege on several projects for large businesses, including binding arbitration for an international telecommunications corporation, and a class-action lawsuit filed against a top search engine platform.
Mr. Neale was a Law Clerk for Leach & McGreevy in San Francisco, drafting documents and responding to discovery for insurance defense claims and subrogation. As a Project Coordinator for Robert Half Legal in San Francisco, Mr. Neale managed a five-member team on temporary assignment to review contracts for a multinational bank. He provided daily progress reports to the company and the bank’s management.
Before embarking on a law career, Mr. Neale was involved in the specialty construction business, serving as Operations Manager for Alcal Arcade Contracting in Rancho Cordova. He supervised commercial and residential contracts involving expansion joints, insulation and sound attenuation across the Central California territory, whose 2009 sales were $3.6 million.
Mr. Neale received his Juris Doctor degree from Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco, where he was on the Dean’s List. He was a Legal Extern for the City Attorney’s workers’ compensation litigation team, and a Judicial Extern for the Hon. Maria-Elena James in the U.S. District Court’s Northern District of California. He also served as a Teaching Assistant in Trial Advocacy. Mr. Neale received his undergraduate degree from California State University, Sacramento.
