Mr. Cady, Associate Attorney, represents self-insured employers, third-party administrators and corporations in all aspects of workers’ compensation.
Before joining Michael Sullivan & Associates, he was of counsel to the Griffin Law Group in San Diego, where he assisted the firm’s attorneys in a variety of matters, including civil litigation and professional liability. He also served as a Consultant for the corporate restructuring firm Kurtzman Carson Consultants in El Segundo, overseeing case management. He was responsible for daily noticing and claims administration, drafting affidavits, reviewing proofs of claim and creating and maintaining public access websites. He worked on several high-profile cases involving large corporations, including Sports Authority, Peabody Energy, AOG Entertainment and Westinghouse Electric.
Mr. Cady was a Legal Intern for Baker Concrete Construction, in Monroe, Ohio, where he conducted research for the company’s legal staff. He was involved in dispute resolution and employment matters, including FLSA compliance and contract review.
Mr. Cady received his Juris Doctor degree from Regent University School of Law in Virginia Beach, Virginia, where he was a three-year recipient of an Academic Merit Scholarship. He was Acquisitions Editor for the Journal of Global Justice and Public Policy, and participated in moot court competitions. In addition, he was an Extern for partners at LeClairRyan, in Norfolk, Virginia, writing transactional memos and assisting with trial preparation, and a Judicial Extern for Chief Judge Glen Huff at the Virginia Court of Appeals. Mr. Cady received his undergraduate degree from Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, where he was President of student government and a participant in the invitation-only John Wesley Honors College.
