Ms. Hoover, Supervising Attorney, represents self-insured employers, third-party administrators and corporations in all aspects of workers’ compensation. Her work has resulted in published opinions from the Court of Appeal. In addition to carrying a full caseload, she supervises several Associate Attorneys. Ms. Hoover joined the firm as an Associate Attorney, then was promoted to Senior Attorney.
Before joining Michael Sullivan & Associates, she was an Associate Attorney for Laughlin, Falbo, Levy & Moresi in San Bernardino, where she represented CIGA, public agencies, third-party administrators and self-insured entities in all aspects of workers’ compensation defense. She conducted case-in-chief trials and negotiated settlements and liens. She also researched and drafted documents on a range of corporate and employment law issues.
Ms. Hoover was an independent Attorney practicing in Redlands, where she handled complex family law cases. She also negotiated and mediated business law contracts, debt and partner disputes and advised new businesses in many areas, including the protection of intellectual property.
As an Associate Attorney at the Law Office of Carroll M. Lawson in Redlands, Ms. Hoover served as second chair in civil trials, assisted in the strategic planning for business clients and managed client relations. Before being licensed to practice, Ms. Hoover served as a Law Clerk/Intern with the firm, conducting research and analyzing issues of business and employment law. She also assisted in trial preparation.
Ms. Hoover received her Juris Doctor degree from California Western School of Law in San Diego, where she was on the Dean’s List for two years. She received both the Dean’s Merit Scholarship for Ethnic and Cultural Diversity and an Academic Achievement Award for a Second Amendment seminar. She also served as Secretary for the school’s Christian Legal Society. Ms. Hoover received her undergraduate degree from Marymount College of Fordham University in Tarrytown, New York, where she was a member of the Jesuit Honor Society and was a Department Chair Medalist for Legal and Policy Studies. She also received the Alumnae Chair Award for the highest grades.
