Mr. Brady, Associate Attorney, represents self-insured employers, insurance carriers, public agencies and third-party administrators in all aspects of workers’ compensation. He develops legal strategy for discovery, investigation, conferences and trials. He analyzes medical reporting and complex medical records, and resolves lien issues.
Before joining Michael Sullivan & Associates, he was a Senior Associate Attorney at Yrulegui & Roberts in Fresno, managing approximately 70 cases defending insurance companies, third-party administrators and the California Insurance Guarantee Association in workers’ compensation litigation. He maintained communication with clients, brokers, employers, vocational experts and subrogation attorneys for resolution in multiple high-exposure cases. He appeared before WCABs throughout central California and the Bay Area for settlement, lien and status conferences, hearings and trials.
At Laughlin, Falbo, Levy & Moresi in Fresno and Los Angeles, Mr. Brady was a Senior Associate Attorney, managing approximately 90 workers’ compensation defense cases, including several on behalf of CIGA, in addition to private carriers and third-party administrators. He developed expertise in matters involving Medicare compliance. He presented seminars to keep claims examiners abreast of developments in workers’ compensation law, apportionment and the trial process. He also wrote for the State Bar newsletter on apportionment.
Mr. Brady was a Law Clerk, then an Associate Attorney at the Law Offices of Parker, Kern, Nard & Wenzel in Fresno, practicing exclusively workers’ compensation defense. He conducted research, and drafted documents, correspondence and status reports. He also served as a Certified Legal Intern/Student Professional at the Fresno County District Attorney’s Office, where he assisted in completing the arraignment calendar, collected evidence for filing and argued motions in juvenile trials.
Before embarking on a legal career, Mr. Brady was Owner/Operator for Brady’s Fitness in Fresno, an enterprise he ran as a Certified Fitness Trainer. He instructed athletes of all levels in strength and conditioning, and coordinated with medical professionals for weight management and injury rehabilitation. Fresno magazine named him the No. 2 Fitness Instructor in the San Joaquin Valley.
Mr. Brady received his Juris Doctor degree from the San Joaquin College of Law in Clovis, where he was an Executive Officer of Delta Theta Phi (law fraternity), a semifinalist in the George A. Hopper Moot Court Competition and a recipient of the Ty Kharazi Support Scholarship for Academic Performance. He received his undergraduate degree from California State University, Fresno, where he was on the Dean’s List.
