Mr. Tse, Partner, represents insurance carriers, self-insured employers, third-party administrators and corporations in all aspects of workers’ compensation, from inception to resolution of their cases. An experienced litigator before state appellate courts, Mr. Tse was a Senior Attorney at the firm before becoming Partner. He develops legal strategy for discovery, investigation, conferences and trials. He appears at WCABs throughout Northern California.
Before joining Michael Sullivan & Associates, Mr. Tse was a Partner at Gale, Sutow & Associates in Novato, also practicing exclusively workers’ compensation defense, and managing as many as 200 case files. As an Associate Attorney at Dietz, Gilmor & Chazen in San Francisco, Mr. Tse also represented the defense in workers’ compensation claims. He analyzed medical reporting, diagnostics and complex medical records, conducted depositions, drafted documents and maintained client communications throughout.
As an Associate Attorney at Brady Vorwerck, Ryder & Caspino in Concord, Mr. Tse developed particular expertise in workers’ compensation defense involving asbestos injuries. At Armstrong, Callan & Shin, in San Jose, he became expert in serious & willful misconduct claims, and created employer guidelines for workers’ compensation insurance audits. Mr. Tse began his legal career at Hanna, Brophy, MacLean, McAleer & Jensen in Oakland, where he conducted research, drafted documents, attended conferences, hearing and trials, and handled numerous cases involving Labor Code 132a matters, and subrogation.
Mr. Tse received his Juris Doctor degree from Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco, where he was on the Dean’s List. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
