Ms. Allen, Attorney Of Counsel, represents insurance carriers, self-insured employers, and public entities in all aspects of workers’ compensation defense.

Before joining Michael Sullivan & Associates, Ms. Allen was a Field Legal for Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, where she served as in-house counsel. She also served as Associate Attorney at Cipolla, Calaba, Wollman & Bhatti, as well as Hollins Schechter, in Santa Ana. At both firms, Ms. Allen specialized in workers’ compensation defense. As Associate Attorney at Case, Ibrahim & Clauss, in Irvine, California, Ms. Allen represented contractors, architects, and engineers in matters of construction defects and general litigation.

Ms. Allen has also worked in medical malpractice defense as Associate Attorney at Hillsinger & Costanza, in Orange, California, and product liability defense as In-house Counsel for the Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA. Additionally, Ms. Allen has worked as Associate Attorney in the Law Offices of John B. Taylor and a Contract Attorney in the Law Offices of Debra L. Allen. After pursuing post-graduate studies in Post-graduate Studies in Accounting, Civil procedure, and Constitution, Administrative, and Real Property Law at the Melbourne University School of Law, Ms. Allen worked as an Article Clerk at Sly & Weigall, in Melbourne, Australia. Ms. Allen also worked as an Office Manager for WordBank in London, England.

Ms. Allen received her Juris Doctor degree from the Pepperdine Caruso School of Law, where she served on the Faculty-Student Bar Relations Committee and the Moot Court team. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, where she was a member of the Dean’s list.
