Mr. Watts, senior attorney, represents insurance carriers, self-insured employers and public entities in all aspects of workers’ compensation defense and develops legal strategy for discovery, investigation, conferences, and trials.
Prior to joining Michael Sullivan & Associates, Mr. Watts was the in-house workers compensation defense attorney for AmTrust. He also has experience in workers compensation defense serving as an attorney for a wide range of California workers compensation defense firms including the Law Offices of Richard Green, Laughlin, Falbo & Moresi, Witkop Law Group, Stockwell, Harris, Woolverton & Muehl, and Haworth, Bradshaw, Stallknect & Barber. Mr. Watts also served as a deputy district attorney for San Joaquin County.
Mr. Watts received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. He holds a B.A. in environmental economics and policy form the University of California, Berkeley.
Outside of work, Mr. Watts enjoys traveling, backpacking, hiking, reading and spending time with his two elementary school aged children.
