Ms. Monteleone, Managing Partner, represents public and private businesses in all aspects of subrogation and civil matters. Before her promotion, Ms. Monteleone was an Associate Attorney at the firm who initiated the subrogation department. She is responsible for nearly 100 cases.
Before joining Michael Sullivan & Associates, for many years she was a Trial Attorney for Liberty Mutual Insurance in Orange, where she prepared and argued motions for both commercial and private clients concerning claims of premises liability, dog bite and auto matters. She successfully wrote and argued several motions for summary judgment, and in a 3⅔-year span, tried seven cases to verdict. At the request of the client, Ms. Monteleone was solely responsible for handling all matters for Regal Cinemas.
Ms. Monteleone was also a Trial Attorney for Stockwell, Harris, Widom, Woolverton & Muehl in Orange, where she practiced workers’ compensation defense representing insurance companies, self-insured employers and third-party administrators from initial review to trial. She was responsible for all subrogation cases for several of the firm’s offices.
As an Appeals Specialist for Arthur Andersen & Co. in Los Angeles, Ms. Monteleone handled administrative and tax hearings, conducted research and drafted briefs. She also conducted client seminars in English and Spanish.
Ms. Monteleone received her Juris Doctor degree from Loyola Law School, where she received a fellowship from the Council on Legal Education Opportunity (CLEO). She received her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Ms. Monteleone is fluent in written and spoken Spanish.
