Mr. Cummings, senior attorney, represents insurance carriers, self-insured employers, and public entities in all areas of workers’ compensation defense. He develops legal strategy for discovery, investigation, conferences, and trials.
Prior to joining Michael Sullivan & Attorneys, Mr. Cummings was the managing attorney of the Law Office of Christopher L. Cummings. He operated a solo workers’ compensation law practice focusing on identifying and responding to the specific needs of each client, engaging in extensive legal research and writing regarding various stages of litigation. He conducted all aspects of firm responsibilities from initial client contact to final case resolution. He also served as associate attorney at Godfrey, Godfrey, Lamb, and Ortega, LLP, litigating workers’ compensation cases on behalf of the employer, their insurance carrier, and adjuster agency.
Mr. Cummings earned his Juris Doctor degree from Whittier Law School, where he received a President’s Merit Scholarship and CALI Award. He also holds a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Philosophy from California State University, Long Beach.
