Ms. Patel, senior attorney, represents self-insured employers, insurance carriers, and public entities in all aspects of workers’ compensation. She develops legal strategy for discovery, investigation, conferences, and trials; drafts pleadings, motions, briefs, and correspondence; resolves lien issues; analyzes medical reporting and complex medical records
Prior to joining Michael Sullivan & Associates, Ms. Patel served as a partner at CBE Law Group where she practiced workers’ compensation defense. She has also served as an associate attorney at Testan Law and Gilson, Daub. Ms. Patel worked as a law clerk for Guidance Software Inc and the AARP Foundation, litigation department. She began her career in the law as a legal assistant for the Law Office of Chris T. Nguyen.
Ms. Patel received her Juris Doctor degree from Southwestern Law School, which she won a CALI award for sales. She also won several scholarships, the Norman Karlin Scholarship and the Hon. Nate Holden Endowment scholarship.
Ms. Patel also holds an M.B.A from Loyola Marymount and a B.S. in psychobiology from the University of California, Los Angeles.
