Mr. Castleon, associate attorney, represents defense in all aspects of workers’ compensation, with particular expertise working with insurance carriers. He develops litigation strategy; analyzes complex medical reports; conducts discovery; and attends hearings, conferences, and trials, appearing before Workers’ Comp Appeal Boards throughout Southern California.
Prior to joining Michael Sullivan & Attorneys, Mr. Castleton served as Deputy District Attorney for Merced County, assigned to prosecute complex and sensitive cases and represent the District Attorney in public forums. Before his work for Merced County, he served as Deputy Public Defender for Stanislaus County, providing legal representation in criminal matters from arraignment through trial and sentencing. He has also taught legal courses at Merced Community College.
Mr. Castleton earned his Juris Doctor degree from San Joaquin College of Law, where he received Witkin Awards for Academic Excellence in Moot Court, Professional Responsibility, and Legal Analysis. He also holds a B.S. in Business Management from Brigham Young University-Idaho and an Emerging Leadership Institute Certificate from Merced College.
Mr. Castleton speaks conversational Mandarin Chinese.
