Ms. Molohan, Senior Attorney, represents self-insured employers, insurance carriers and public entities in all aspects of workers’ compensation. She develops legal strategy for discovery, investigation, conferences and trials. She analyzes medical reporting and complex medical records, and resolves lien issues.

Before joining Michael Sullivan & Associates, she was a Partner at Young, Molohan, Cohen & Durrett in Sacramento, where she represented school districts, hospitality businesses, insurance carriers, third-part administrators and self-insured employers in all aspects of workers’ compensation. She helped grow the firm’s business, mentored younger attorneys and advised clients about all aspects of statutory liability. She also presented seminars on various aspects of workers’ compensation law. Ms. Molohan started with the firm as an Associate Attorney, when it was known as Rahn, Murphy & Young.=

Ms. Molohan began her legal career as an Associate Attorney at Lenahan, Lee, Slater & Pearse in Sacramento, exclusively practicing workers’ compensation defense. She represented municipalities and the California Insurance Guarantee Association, appearing before WCABs throughout Northern California. She also conducted seminars on SB 899, the seminal 2004 legislation concerning medical provider networks, time limits for receiving temporary disability benefits, vocational training and how permanent disability benefits are determined, among other provisions.

Ms. Molohan received her Juris Doctor degree, magna cum laude, from the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento, where she was on the Dean’s List all three years. She served as Chief Symposium Editor and Legislative Staff Writer for the McGeorge Law Review, where she published three articles, including one about the payment of disability funds to injured workers. Ms. Molohan also was a member of the Traynor Honor Society, the recipient of three scholarships and recognized for honors in trial advocacy. She received her undergraduate degree from California State University, Sacramento, where she was also on the Dean’s List.
