Mr. Stewart, Associate Attorney, is an experienced litigator who represents both public and private employers in connection with labor and employment and complex litigation matters.
Prior to joining Michael Sullivan & Associates, Mr. Stewart was an associate at Stitt Vu Trial Lawyers, where he practiced both criminal and civil law. He began at that firm as an associate attorney before his subsequence promotion.
Previously, Mr. Stewart was an associate attorney at Callahan, Thompson, Sherman & Caudill, where he conducted investigations into civil claims involving employment law, trade secrets, and contract disputes. He also worked as a law clerk and then associate attorney for Brown Law, in Baltimore, Maryland.
As a law student, Mr. Stewart was a legal intern for U.S. Senator Benjamin Cardin, a summer intern for the Federal Defenders of San Diego, Inc., a judicial extern for the Honorable Robert N. McDonald on the Court of Appeals of Maryland, and a summer intern for the San Diego County Public Defender.
Prior to pursuing a career in law, Mr. Stewart was a journalist. He covered politics in Maryland and California, as well as national security in Washington D.C.
Mr. Stewart received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Maryland, Francis Carey School of Law, where he served as staff editor, and then on the editorial board, of the Maryland Law Journal of Race, Religion, Gender & Class. He also holds an M.A. in public affairs from American University and a B.S. in psychology and communication from the University of Scranton.
