Ms. Faruk, associate attorney, represents the defense in all aspects of workers compensation law and appears before workers comp appeal boards throughout Southern California.
Prior to joining Michael Sullivan & Associates, Ms. Faruk was an intellectual property associate at Knobbe Martens Olson & Bear, LLP where she managed trademark and copyright portfolios. She began at that firm as a summer associate. Previously, Ms. Faruk worked for the LA County District Attorney Office as a certified law clerk.
While a law student, Ms. Faruk held many prestigious internships including at Rocket Lab USA, the Narika Domestic Violence Clinic, the Bangladesh Legal Aid and Services Trust, and Renne Sloan Holtman Sakai, LLP.
Prior to pursing law school, Ms. Faruk worked with Amnesty International as a researcher and for the East Bay Sanctuary Covenant as a political asylum intern. She was also a legislative intern for Assemblymember Ken Cooley of Sacramento. She has also published on issues of intellectual property, domestic violence, and human rights.
Ms. Faruk received her Juris Doctor degree from UCLA School of Law. She also holds a B.A. in legal studies from the University of California, Berkeley.
Ms. Faruk speaks fluent Bengali, Hindi, and Urdu.
