Ms. Vertner, associate attorney, represents the defense in all aspects of workers compensation defense.
Prior to joining Michael Sullivan & Associates, Ms. Vertner was an associate attorney for Harrison, Eichenberg & Murphey, where she handled workers’ compensation defense and lien conference matters. She has also served as an associate attorney working in workers compensation and employment law for Korey Richardson, the Alvandi Law Group, Anthony Law Group, and TRICAL, Inc.
Ms. Vertner also brings experience of criminal law. She served as a deputy public defender for the Tulare County Public Defender’s office and has worked as a criminal defense attorney for Vertner & Vertner, Los Angeles Dependency Lawyers, and as a solo practitioner working on criminal defense and family law matters.
Ms. Vertner received her Juris Doctor degree from Santa Clara University School of Law, where she was a project intern for the Northern California Innocence Project and an intern facilitator for Fresh Lifelines for Youth. She also holds a B.A. in politics from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
Ms. Vertner speaks conversational Spanish and Italian.
